The 1872 Newell Covered Bridge, also called the Lower Cox Brook Covered Bridge, is a 55.1-foot-long queen-post truss spanning Cox Brook in Northfield Falls, Washington County, Vermont. It has a deck width of 14.8 feet and a vertical clearance above deck of 12 feet and carries Cox Brook Road over Cox Brook.

Newell Bridge was built in 1872 and rehabilitated in 1979. This is the only location where one historic covered bridge in Vermont can be seen from another; the Station Bridge is just down the road from the Lower Bridge. This bridge is also known as the Second Bridge and is sometimes called the Middle Bridge because of its position.

Of the over 500 covered bridges that were built in the state of Vermont, as of 2019, only 104 remain.

Length of largest span:  55.1 feet
    Total length:  58.1 feet
    Deck width:  14.8 feet
Vertical clearance above deck:  12 feet

Newell Bridge was listed in the National Register of Historic Places on October 15, 1974.
