Van Sandt - 1875
The 1875 Van Sant Covered Bridge (Van Sandt Covered Bridge), also known as the Beaver Dam Bridge, is a historic covered bridge located in Solebury Township, near New Hope in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
Van Sant Bridge is the only covered bridge remaining in Solebury Township. It was originally built in 1875 by G. Arndt and P. S. Naylor and is 86 feet long. It is a Town truss bridge, built with overlapping and connected triangles that distribute weight equally over the length of the span crossing the Pidcock Creek near Washington Crossing State Park. A hallmark of Bucks County bridges, it is red with white entry portals.

Of the 1,500 covered bridges that once stood in the state of Pennsylvania, as of 2019, approximately 200 remain.
