Fleisher - 1887
The 1887 Fleisher Covered Bridge is a historic wooden covered bridge located in Oliver Township near Newport in Perry County, Pennsylvania.
Built by Yohn & Ritter, it is a 113-foot-long Burr truss bridge, constructed in 1887. Steel I-beams were later erected in 1960. It crosses Big Buffalo Creek and is open to traffic.
Of the 1,500 covered bridges that once stood in the state of Pennsylvania, as of 2019, approximately 200 remain.
