Unable to find how many covered bridges were once in North Carolina, only a small number of covered bridges remained in North Carolina by the 2000s. Today only two original historical covered bridges remain: Bunker Hill in Catawba Township and Pisgah covered bridge in Randolph County, North Carolina.
