The 1871 Fallasburg Covered Bridge located over the Flat River in Kent County, Michigan, connects Fallasburg Park with historic Fallasburg Village. The 100-foot span was built by Jared Bressee for $1,500. It was constructed from pine timber and uses the Brown truss style. The Fallasburg Covered Bridge is one of three covered bridges in the state that are still open to vehicles. This wooden bridge replaced an earlier 1840 span across the Flat River.

The 1840 span was destroyed by high waters and massive spring ice jams. In 1905, the bridge underwent significant repairs due to flood damage, and the original wooden abutments were replaced. In 1945, it was further reinforced with steel beams. Despite these updates, the Fallasburg Covered Bridge has a weight limit of just three tons. Again in 1994, the aging bridge was extensively repaired but because the restoration was completed with specific attention to detail, it retained its historical integrity.

The Fallasburg Covered Bridge was listed with the Michigan State Register on February 12, 1959. It was awarded a Michigan Historical Marker on September 10, 1971, and was listed with the National Register on March 16, 1972.
