Oldtown - 1880
The 187-foot Oldtown Covered Bridge was built in 1880 in Greenup County, Kentucky.
This two-span 187 ft. long bridge is a Multiple Kingpost through truss bridge over the Frazer Branch of Little Sandy Creek in Oldtown. Completed in the 1880s at a cost of $4,000, it was first restored in the early '70s by the Green Thumb Program. It was closed to vehicle traffic in 1985. It was restored again in 1999, although a good deal of new material was used to reconstruct the bridge.
Oldtown Covered Bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.
