Heikes Bridge crosses Bermudian Creek. It is one of 17 covered bridges in Adams, Cumberland, and Perry Counties. Adams County is home to 4 covered bridges.
Although Heikes Covered Bridge is most likely located at its original location, it is currently on private property and used for personal storage, and is very well maintained by the property owners.
Of the 1,500 covered bridges that once stood in the state of Pennsylvania, as of 2019, approximately 200 remain.
