Enslow - 1904
The Enslow Covered Bridge is a Burr-arch truss bridge built in 1904 over Shermans Creek on Adams Grove Road. It is located southeast of Blain in Perry County. At 117 feet long, it is also known as the Turkey Tail Covered Bridge. Its builder is unknown.
In 1997, repairs were needed after damage was done by Hurricane Fran in 1996. In 2014, it had been freshly painted. The work was done with the aid of members of the Theodore Burr Covered Bridge Society of Pennsylvania.
Of the 1,500 covered bridges that once stood in the state of Pennsylvania, as of 2019, approximately 200 remain.
